Warmed beer has been around for centuries and from the 1500-1800s, it was actually the preferred way of enjoying beer in taverns. - 2 oranges, cut in slices with cloves stuck in
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 2 star anise
- 10 allspice berries
- 1L Lowlander Winter Ale
Combine all ingredients in a pan. Gently simmer on a low heat until warm. The Mulled Beer should not be hotter than 70 degrees or it will become bitter. Pour into heat resistent glasses.
