Well this has been a week which we are not going to forget easily. We have just discovered that we have received another 4 awards at the World Beer Awards. That combined with 1 very special award for our brand new Yuzu & Grapefruit Botanical Infusion (more about that below) and 4 awards at the International Beer Challenge in London brings our total the past 7 days to 9 medals!

Who would have thought that 2.5 years after starting with the idea of brewing with botanicals we would have more than 30 international awards. We feel incredibly proud that our endavaour of brewing with botanicals, inspired by the trade and travel of the Lowlanders, is being acknowledged as something truly unique and of world quality.

So we hope you don’t mind that we open up a Lowlander and share it with our crew now.

Fresh Discovery Award

Barely 3 weeks since launch and the first medal is already in the bag. The Fresh Discovery Awards are designed to shine a spotlight on the year’s most innovative and delicious new products and we are incredibly proud to be a finalist which means we will present our Botancial infusions at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair in London this September!

Triple Bronze + Silver

Our Poorter – yes that’s right that is not a typo – is our very own Dutch expression of a robust porter. We brew our Poorter with liquorice root and vanilla for a very unique flavour profile which is unapologetically Dutch. The exact reason why we are so proud that it picked up a silver medal in London. And oh we managed to win another 3 bronze medals too.

Triple Country Winner + Gold Medal

The prestigious World Beer Awards are the equivalent to the World Cup in football. Out of more than 1900 beers from more than 36 countries which were judged via a blind tastings by a panel of experts we managed to get 4 out of our 6 beers to be recognised as best of The Lowlands, for the 2nd year in a row!
